New HBMA President Looks to Provide Leadership for Billers

HBMA Announces 2015 President
WASHINGTON – The Healthcare Billing & Management Association (HBMA) announced today that it has selected Curtis L. Cvikota, CHBME as its 2014 President Elect – a unanimous decision by the organization’s Board of Directors. Curt will take office as President in 2015.
Curt comes into his new role as a seasoned professional with more than 25 years of experience in the medical billing industry. He currently serves as the president of The Cvikota Company, Inc., a privately held medical billing service company based in La Crosse, WI. “Growing up in a family business, I’ve had the opportunity to work in every level of the company,” said Curt. “I’ve always been interested in the technology and compliance requirements of our industry.”
Curt currently serves on the HBMA Board of Directors as Treasurer. In addition he has served past terms on HBMA’s board and volunteered for HBMA committee work. He received his CHBME certification in 1999, and has been active in the organization since its inception.
“Curt has been an active HBMA volunteer leader and true industry professional in healthcare billing and management,” said Jeanne A. Gilreath, CHBME, 2014 President of the HBMA Board of Directors. “He will bring years of HBMA experience and wisdom and will continue the tradition of past HBMA leaders by putting the interests of HBMA first.”
