Cloud Data Migration Provides Boon for Healthcare Providers
Last week we announced the launch of the OrboAccess healthcare payment platform (see video here), which makes it a great time to reiterate how useful cloud data storage is to the modern healthcare provider.
HIT Infrastructure offers a fairly comprehensive article exploring how healthcare organizations are benefiting from storing and accessing their data assets in “the cloud.” They cite an HIMSS survey that indicates the cloud is already becoming the preferred deployment option for healthcare applications.
Organizations have tripled their reliance on cloud computing since 2014, expanding their infrastructure to encompass a number of critical initiatives, including backup and disaster recovery, consumer engagement, and revenue cycle management.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t work involved. The overwhelming preponderance of data and case studies indicates that migration to the cloud is the wise move in the long term, but The Cloud Standards Consumer Council advises that organizations take six essential steps (expounded upon in the article) to ensure apps are migrated successfully:
- Assess applications and workloads
- Build the business case
- Develop the technical approach
- Adopt a flexible integration model
- Address security and privacy requirements
- Manage the migration
OrboGraph is currently releasing testimonials, webinars, and video to reinforce the value proposition of the OrboAccess healthcare payment platform, which will make it easier than ever to begin your organization’s migration to a suite of proven cloud solutions. Isn’t it time you put the cloud to work for you?
