Our Head in the Cloud…

The healthcare industry as a whole has come to recognize and embrace the incredible power and benefits in harnessing cloud computing for storing data. It’s interesting to take a trip back in time to a short-but-prescient list posted on the Healthcare IT News website waaay back in 2012.

Give them credit — they got it right all down the line!

Interesting, though not surprising, to note that the very first TWO items on the list address DATA SECURITY. If any element of cloud computing was troubling enough to hold certain parties back from embracing the economies of scale available via the cloud, it was, of course, keeping data safe. Fortunately, we’ve come a long way in intervening years and can harness the power of now-ubiquitous cloud computing.
